Founded in 1967 by Dennis Bunning, Island Garage has its roots firmly planted in dedication and quality service. Starting humbly in London, Dennis laid the foundation by working on customers' cars right from his driveway. As the business flourished, he opened the first official garage in Hixon, Staffordshire, aptly named Hixon Garage. Success followed, and so did the expansion, culminating in the launch of Island Garage in Stafford, where the family business truly began to grow and thrive.
In 1984, Stafford Land Rover was established and quickly became a recognised name in the region, signifying our commitment to delivering top-notch automotive services. Fast forward to 2011, Bunning Garages was formed, enhancing our service capabilities even further.
